Manuel Manzaneque

This legendary vineyard originated out of a desire to create a Grand Cru of Spain. Today, Manuel Manzaneque focuses on limited productions of extraordinary wine. The estate, near the village of Bonillo in the heart of the Sierra de Alcarz near Albacete, is situated in a microclimate singled out by steep temperature gradients between day & night. The single estate is its own domain (and Spain’s original monopole, Vino de Pago). The Manzaneque family personally brought the Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay and Syrah vines over from Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rodano and included them on the estate with Spain’s native Tempranillo.
